It’s hard to stay in shape in the winter. Since the weather quickly turns cold and snowy, I have to stop running around December, and I don’t like going to the gym, I prefer working out alone. Plus… I must confess that I hate the treadmill, or as I like to call it, the dreadmill! So during the winter, or on rainy days, I need to make sure I have something on hand to get me sweating a bit.
Do you think stretching is an important part of your workout routine?
Is it something you do if you have a few extra minutes or do you make sure to take the time to stretch?
It happened last week… My husband and I were in town getting groceries when all of the sudden, the car just stops. We broke down and had to get a tow to the garage. Luckily our mechanic is amazing and he was able to fix it right then and there, but it did take three hours…

We LOVE mudruns! We have gone to about half a dozen, and we go to as many as we are able to attend. If you are able to go to a mudrun, GO! Most events I have attended are open to anyone, at any fitness level, and the people there are so supportive and willing to lend a hand if you get stuck on an obstacle.
Since I now have a little bit of experience with mudruns, I thought I should make a list of things you should bring to a mudrun. There are a few things you do not want to forget! For example, if you forget your towel… you are going to have a wet drive home!
Everybody knows this by now but… I love smoothies! I love that they are easily adjusted to everyone’s tastes so anyone can whip up a delicious smoothie in minutes, I love that they are a super quick and easy breakfast, and I love that they can be super healthy too. Notice that bold text? Smoothies CAN BE super healthy, but that’s not always the case.
